Although New Hampshire is run by the Anti-Gun Party, Governor Chris Sununu’s was still able to fight off three Anti-Gun Bills with the power of the VETO. Those vetoes were upheld today giving hope to gun owners across the state that all is not lost in the “Live Free or Die” state.
“In his veto message, however, Sununu touted the state’s ranking as one of the nation’s safest, and said existing gun laws fit New Hampshire’s “culture of responsible gun ownership and individual freedom.”” AP News

The anti-gun bias shown by the AP shouldn’t surprise me but it still does. In their articles, listed below, they make it sound like Oklahoma’s “constitutional carry” law HB 2597 does away with all background checks. I guess they conveniently forgot about the national background checks that are still required to purchase a firearm through a licensed dealer.
However, it was the following quotes that really got my goat; “Republican Gov. Kevin Stitt signed a law in February that will allow most people to carry a gun without going through a background check or training” and “Permitless gun carry bill first signed by Oklahoma governor”. These quotes are misleading at best.
