The ease with which police state tactics have been employed and the equal ease with which most Americans have accepted them have been breathtaking. People will argue that a temporary police state has been justified because of the allegedly unique threat to life posed by the new coronavirus.
“Police state” does not mean totalitarian state. America is not a totalitarian state; we still have many freedoms…but we are presently living with all four of the key hallmarks of a police state:
The mainstream media and governments are losing control of people all over the globe. Humans are finally standing up for their rights to live not as slaves, but as free sovereign people capable of making their own decisions without rulers and elitists calling the shots.
Never before have we seen global tyranny at this scale. But, never before have we seen a mass uprising against governments and their propaganda outlets (the mainstream media) either. As more and more people get off their knees and stand up for their basic human right to live freely, governments and the elitists that control them lose power.
Chicago mayor threatens anyone who disobeys lockdown: ‘We will shut you down, we will take you to jail’
[At the same time that 1,300 inmates have been released from Cook County] Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot threatened to issue citations and even arrest anyone who violated stay-at-home orders. ‘We are not playing games. We mean business’ “We will shut you down, we will cite you, and if we need to, we will arrest you and we will take you to jail,” Lightfoot said. “Don’t make us treat you like a criminal.”
Kansas City is requiring that churches “submit list of members and attendees along with their names, addresses and telephone numbers to city officials for tracking and surveillance purposes.”
[Liberty Counsel founder Mat Staver stated] “I am running out of adjectives to describe how completely insane the tyrannical abuses launched by state governors and local officials against pastors and churches are becoming,” he said in his newsletter. “It is as if these leaders never bothered to so much as glance at the Constitution they swore to uphold and defend. They seem to be governing from some make-believe, dystopian viewpoint.”
New Mexico’s Democratic governor locks down entire city, banning traffic and implementing long curfew
Lujan Grisham invoked the state’s Riot Control Act to prohibit all “nonessential” traffic movements in the city of Gallup. State police and the National Guard are helping enforce the lockdown order, the AP reported. Violations of Lujan Grisham’s order are punishable as misdemeanors on the first offense and as felonies upon subsequent violations.
Protesters in several California cities, including San Francisco, Huntington Beach, and Sacramento rallied on Friday, May 1st, with huge protests against Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom’s hyper restrictive coronavirus stay-at-home order. In Sacramento, the state’s capital, a packed crowd of thousands of protesters faced off with lines of police officers in full riot gear.
“In the face of tyranny, in the face of freedom, are you going to sit there in your riot gear against peaceful protesters?” asked Williams. “Or are you going to say, ‘you know what, it’s time to stand up for my country. Because I took an oath of office and it said, ‘I will defend all enemies, foreign and domestic.” Shortly after Williams challenged the officers to ‘stand down,’ the officers appeared to retreat and leave the location.
