Gov. Andy Beshear announced the policy during his Friday coronavirus briefing, during which he was open about his frustration with the churches that have not agreed to suspend services.
Police will be monitoring and recording the license plate numbers of people who choose to attend “mass gatherings” like Easter church service, and then health officials will be dispatched to their homes to put them onto a 14-day “self quarantine” in order to ensure that each person’s decision to attend does not “kill somebody else,” said the governor in his explanation.
“Folks, we shouldn’t have to do this. What we’re asking you to do is not to harm other people,” he said. “It’s to love your neighbor as yourself.”
“That your decision to go to a mass gathering doesn’t negate the sacrifice of every other house of worship, 99.99 percent in this state that are choosing to do the right thing.”
“Understand that this is the only way that we can ensure that your decision doesn’t kill somebody else,”
‘Expect action from DOJ next week!’
Attorney General William Barr will take action against local government officials who are regulating relgiious activities, even those that follow social distancing guidelines, during the coronavirus outbreak.
Barr’s spokeswoman, Kerri Kupec, announced late Saturday that Barr will take action this week.
“During this sacred week for many Americans, AG Barr is monitoring govt regulation of religious services. While social distancing policies are appropriate during this emergency, they must be applied evenhandedly & not single out religious orgs,” Kupec announced. “Expect action from DOJ next week!”
‘The Mayor’s decision is stunning…’
Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer, a Democrat, issued a legal directive on Thursday prohibiting churches from gathering for Easter services, even if congregants remained in their cars for a “drive-in” service.
“We’re saying no church worshiping,” the mayor declared.
On Saturday, U.S. District Judge Justin Walker thoroughly rebuked the mayor for his mandate.
In an emergency ruling, Walker granted a local Louisville church, On Fire Christian Center, a temporary restraining order against Fischer’s directive, allowing the church, and presumably others in Louisville, to move forward with modified Easter gatherings.
“And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”
I know some will be offended by this message, as though by even mentioning and holding up the standard Jesus clearly demanded of His followers, I am somehow denying the sufficiency of His substitutionary death for all mankind.
But you see, there’s something really wrong with today’s Christianity. Over 70 percent of Americans consider themselves Christians, but our country’s government, laws, culture and institutions, from its education system to its entertainment industry – are increasingly and overtly hostile to Christianity. Even Christian families all too often are falling apart. Clearly, we’re missing something big.
The Revolutionary Communist Party usa is a Stalinist organization that wants to abolish the U.S. Constitution and create a nation called “The New Socialist Republic in North America.” This group only has a few hundred members, but these revolutionaries sound alarmingly like Representative Schiff and former President Barack Obama.
Last November, Mr. Obama advised politicians to be more underhanded in their attempts to “fundamentally transform” America, because “the average American doesn’t think we have to completely tear down the system and remake it.“
The average American doesn’t think we have to “completely tear down the system,” but Mr. Obama does. And because of blatant lies being told by the radical left, more Americans are starting to think like him.
What is happening in America? A haze of deception enshrouds our nation. It is stunning how easily journalists, politicians and other figures today deceive people. We must understand the spirit behind this deception, as it is far more dangerous than most people realize!
Officials in a number of states are abusing their power and authority by treating their citizens as if they are criminals. Forced lockdowns, fining their residents for nothing more than visiting a neighbor, or walking the wrong way on the sidewalk, or sitting in a parked car with the windows closed during a radio church service
The images we are seeing coming out from within the United States, are reminiscent of what we watched in China, where the virus originated in the early days of the pandemic before it had spread across the globe.
DON’T SAY ‘THAT CAN’T HAPPEN HERE’ – IT ALREADY IS HAPPENING
The first image and video is of a man in China pulled off the Metro by law enforcement for not wearing a mask, was taken from a 17 second video, published by Guardian News on January 28, 2020. The second image and video is of a man being dragged off a bus in Philadelphia, PA, in the U.S, published on April 11, 2020, for not wearing a mask.
In Mississippi, cops were called on Church attendees that were sitting in their cars for church, with the window rolled up, listening to the services set on the radio. No contact with each other.
In Michigan, the tyrannical governor, dubbed by President Trump as that “woman governor,” has expanded on her initial lockdown orders and now has banned “travel between residences,”
More and more of this type of abuse from state elected leaders and law enforcement officials are being reported each and every day.
When we first watched how China was handling the Wuhan coronavirus, we saw many here in America claim “that can’t happen here,” which is the biggest lie in the history of lies told by Americans to fellow Americans, because as the examples above show, it is happening here, right now, right before our eyes.
“If it closed down, it would be devastating for families in town,” said one JBS worker who chose to stay home from April 3 after he developed a cough. He tested positive Friday.
“The people who are still working there are very afraid of catching the virus and passing it to our families at home, but we cannot stop going to work because we need to keep food on the table,”
With much of the United States still on lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, close attention is being paid to the country’s food supply chain. While nervous shoppers have cleared out supermarkets, those shelves have mostly been refilled with food and goods.
What’s happening at JBS in Grand Island is also playing out at other meat processing plants across the nation, where workers kill, cut up and package pork, poultry and beef in close quarters to ensure America’s grocery stores remain stocked with hamburgers, steaks and chicken breasts.
Local governments around the US are starting to take more draconian measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus by banning “essential” stores such as grocery chains or big-box retailers from selling “non-essential” items…
These stores, which have been allowed to stay open during state lockdowns across the US because they are deemed as “essential” businesses by selling groceries or offering pharmacy services, for example, are now required by law in some parts of the US to remove any non-essential items from their stores or rope off areas of the store so that customers are unable to access these products.
While some shoppers have taken a dislike to these new restrictions, others are applauding the change and are encouraging other local governments to do the same.
